The US Technical Championship is a technical skills competition for players born between 2003 and 2009.  The event provides a unique training and competition platform necessary to develop technical, creative and confident players.  The event is comprised of two segments split between the morning and the afternoon.  In the morning players are instructed how they can recognize the position of the opponent (defender) and what skills they have in their repertoire to come out on top.  In essence the Meulensteen Method provides the players the armor to outmaneuver their opponent.  In the afternoon, players are engaging in the many and various 1v1, 2v2, and 4v4 games.  These activities allow players to show their ability to be a difference maker on the field.  Equipped with their skill, knowledge, confidence, and personality, players are encouraged to dominate the play.  The event finishes with a fantastic 4v4 finale.  Those players who made the largest impact throughout the activities are playing in the final showdown.  Winners are not chosen by doing the fastest scissors or the best looking stepover.  Winners are selected because they demonstrate the confidence, creativity, and skill needed to dominate their opponent and influence the outcome of the competition.  Winners are provided additional pathways of competition, starting with the USTC National Finals in November 2016.  Some winners will receive invitations to ID Camps, National Soccer Camps, and possibly be invited to travel to Europe to compete in Holland at their USTC Finals.
